Why We Went Monochrome
The site used to be loud. The products already were. Something had to give.

Our first site was neo-brutalist — thick borders, sticker badges, a color for every category. It photographed well on its own, badly next to the product. Every frame competed with its own backdrop.
“The product is the color. Everything else on the page should get out of the way.”
So we stripped the interface to hairlines and one neutral palette, and let the acetate — cherry red, sky blue, iridescent green — do the work a UI used to do. The frames didn't get quieter. The page did.
